When to print them, and what to do with them

Halloween is the holiday a child prepares for by scaring themselves on purpose, and that is exactly what makes it easy to color: the pumpkin grins, the ghost is round, the skeleton dances. Nothing here is built to frighten — it is dressing up, not dread, and a three-year-old understands that before we do.

The pumpkins are the simplest sheets on the shelf: one big orange shape, two eyes, a mouth. You can print six and make every one of them different without ever changing the drawing — it is the exercise that best occupies a late-October party table.

The haunted houses, the cauldron and the ghost tree sit at the other end: dozens of small areas, an hour of work, and interest that holds because there are still details to find at the twentieth minute. Print both, and let the child choose.
