Halloween craft

The Halloween candy bag

A paper bag, figures to color, the child’s name on it: on Halloween night, they go trick-or-treating with a bag like no other.

The sheet to print

A big name tag and six figures to cut out: the pumpkin, the ghost, the bat, the cat, the candy and the lollipop.

Step by step

Ages 3+30 minutes

Supplies

  • The sheet, printed
  • Colored pencils or markers
  • Round-tipped scissors
  • A glue stick
  • A brown paper bag with handles

Steps

  1. Color the figures and the name tag, then write the child’s name on the tag. Little ones have a grown-up write it, then color it in.
  2. Cut the figures out along their thick outline. Under 4, the grown-up does the cutting.
  3. Glue the name tag, then the figures, on the front of the bag, wherever the child likes.
  4. Let it dry for a few minutes, then go trick-or-treating.

A little glue all over the back of each figure, not just in the middle: it holds until the very last candy.
