The questions parents ask
What we are asked most often about the coloring pages, printing them, and using them.
Price and access
What you have to pay, create or leave behind before printing a sheet.
Are the coloring pages really free?
Yes. Every sheet prints and downloads without paying, without an account and without leaving an email address.
Do I need an account, or to leave an email address?
Not to print. You open a drawing’s page, you print it, you leave — no account, no address, no cookie banner to dismiss, and nothing that follows you from one page to the next. The monthly newsletter is the only place on the site where an address is left, and it is optional: nothing you print depends on it.
Can I print them for a class or a daycare?
Yes, in as many copies as your group needs, without telling us and without paying. Use at home, at school and in daycare is free. The only two things that are not allowed are reselling the files and republishing them on another site.
Printing the sheets
File format, paper, color, and printing two to a page.
Is there a watermark on the sheets?
No. What comes out of the printer is the Coloricorne logo on top and the whole drawing below. Nothing is laid over the drawing, and there is no website address printed across the page.
What format are the files in?
Every sheet exists in two forms: an A4 PDF, already laid out and ready to print with nothing to adjust, and the line drawing shown on its page. The PDF saves to your computer and reopens later, offline, as many times as you like. The PDFs are A4: on US Letter paper, choose “Fit to page” and the whole sheet prints, very slightly smaller.
Do I need a color printer?
No: the sheets are black lines on white, and a black-and-white printer prints them exactly the same. One piece of advice all the same — if yours is set to “ink saving”, turn that off. The lines come out pale gray, and a child cannot see where to stop.
Can I print a sheet at A5, or two on the same page?
Yes. In the print dialog, set “Pages per sheet” to 2: the drawing comes out at half size on an A4 you then cut. The outlines are thick enough to survive the reduction. For two different drawings on one sheet, print the first, then put the paper back in the tray head to tail before printing the second.
Which paper should I choose?
Ordinary 80 gsm paper is enough for colored pencils and wax crayons. As soon as markers come out, 120 gsm keeps the ink from bleeding through and marking the table. For gouache or watercolor you need 160 gsm: below that, the sheet buckles as it dries and the drawing creases.
Choosing a drawing
How many there are, and how to find the one that will hold your child.
How many coloring pages are there on the site?
The “whole catalog” page gathers them all, filterable by theme, by age and by season. Its counter gives today’s number.
How do I know whether a drawing suits my child’s age?
Every sheet carries a starting age, shown on its thumbnail and on its page: it is the age from which it can be finished without discouragement. Before 3, you want large areas and few details; around 4, small areas become interesting precisely because they ask for care. When in doubt, take the simpler one: a finished sheet beats an abandoned one.
The site
What gets added over time, and how to tell us about a mistake.
Are new drawings coming?
Yes, the catalog keeps growing. The simplest thing is to come back when you need one — and to write and tell us what you are missing, we read everything.
How do I report a problem or a mistake?
Write to bonjour@coloricorne.com with the title of the drawing and what you saw: a file that will not open, a line cut off at the edge of the sheet, a link that leads nowhere, a typo in a text. A screenshot helps a great deal. We answer within a few days.
Your question is not here?
Write to us. A question asked twice usually ends up on this page.
One address for everything: bonjour@coloricorne.com. Families, schools and daycares, and mistakes to report all arrive at the same place, and we answer within a few days.
