When to print them, and what to do with them
These are not objects to color — a tie, a drill — but SCENES: fishing off the end of the dock, a birdhouse built together, the car being washed, the first ride without training wheels. A child does not color a job, they color an afternoon.
Some of these sheets carry their greeting drawn into the picture: “Happy Father’s Day”.
As with Mother’s Day, the sheet is not the end of the work: color it, cut the motif out, glue it onto a folded sheet. The big-lettered ones cut out best — the words are already there, all that is left is to fill them in.
