A cape in the sky
The unicorn flies through the night, a big superhero cape streaming behind it. Its collar is decorated with a star. Two children are holding on: the boy, in a star T-shirt, grips the collar with one hand; the girl with pigtails holds a strap hanging from it. Legs dangling in the air, they are laughing out loud.
A trip under the moon
All around them, the night sky is full of stars and little flashes of light. A crescent moon smiles at the top right, and clouds float at every height. A few lines at the bottom left show how fast they are flying. Nothing is scary on this night: it is a night of adventure.
Big shapes in motion
The unicorn, its cape and the two children form one big diagonal group that crosses the page. These are well-defined areas, easy to color at four. The clouds, with their rounded outlines, are big too. The stars, many and small, can be colored one by one, or all in the same color.
A bright cape
The cape is the centerpiece: red, purple or blue, it instantly gives the look of a superhero. The sky can stay white for a light page, or be colored midnight blue around the clouds and stars. The moon and stars then take a strong yellow.
A word for the grown-up: on a clear evening, step outside with your child for a few minutes to look at the moon. Is it round, or a crescent like in the picture? Its shape changes from one night to the next, which is a good reason to look up together.
