Unicorns asleep
The mother unicorn lies in the grass with her eyes closed, and her little one sleeps snuggled against her chest. Both wear a flower crown and smile in their sleep.
A peaceful night
Above them, a crescent moon is sleeping too, eyes closed, close to a big cloud. Stars shine all around. In the grass, flowers and three butterflies watch over their sleep.
For little ones
The two unicorns form one big soft shape, with few details: at two, you color it with big strokes. The moon and the cloud are big shapes too. The stars, flowers and butterflies are small: you can leave them for later.
Night colors
The sky can stay white, or turn dark blue around the stars. The moon is yellow, the cloud pale blue or gray. The unicorns keep soft colors, pink or lilac, like in a child’s bedroom.
A word for the grown-up: half an hour before bedtime, dim the lights in the house and speak more softly, as if under the moon in the picture. At two, this small change signals the night better than a clock, and sleep comes more easily.
