Good night, baby

A mom in an apron, her ponytail tied with a bow, leans over her baby’s cradle with a smile, eyes closed with tenderness. With one hand on the edge, she gently tucks the baby in.

A cloud cradle

The cradle is shaped like a big, puffy cloud. The baby sleeps in it with a pacifier, under a blanket sprinkled with moons and stars. Sitting right beside it, the little unicorn keeps watch, a star at the tip of its horn and a moon hanging from its collar. In the sky, a sleepy moon smiles among the clouds and stars.

Big shapes

The cradle, the mom and the unicorn are big shapes, easy to color at four. Color the little stars in the mane and on the blanket with the tip of the pencil. The cloud cradle can stay almost white.

Nighttime colors

The cradle can take a very pale blue or a soft pink, the blanket a gentle color, with yellow moons and stars. The mom’s dress can be flowery, her apron white. The moon shines yellow.

A word for the grown-up: in the morning, teach your child to make their bed their own way: pull the comforter up to the pillow, smooth it flat with both hands, then set their stuffed animal on top. At four, the bed will not be perfect, but they made it themselves, and at night it is all ready for them.
