Hair time

Sitting on a wooden chair, a mom with a bun and a bow in her hair combs her baby’s hair. The baby, sitting on her lap in pajamas covered with moons and stars, raises a hand and laughs. In her apron pocket, two combs and a hair clip are waiting.

The unicorn at the mirror

Next to them, the little unicorn, with three bows in its mane and a star at the tip of its horn, looks at itself in a tall oval mirror standing on a vanity with a drawer. Flowers decorate the mirror, and a plant blooms in a pot. At the foot of the chair, a basket overflows with a brush, bows and hair ties, next to a bottle with a star.

A page for six-year-olds

The little things in the basket, the bows and the hair clips make a rich page: it suits children from six. Start with the big shapes, the mom, the unicorn and the vanity, then finish with the details.

Soft colors

The apron can be pink or sky blue, the chair and the vanity a wood brown. The unicorn’s bows can take three different colors. The reflection in the mirror keeps the same colors as the unicorn.

A word for the grown-up: open a hair salon at home, where your child is the stylist. Sit in front of them with a soft brush, hair clips and scrunchies, let them work, then admire the result in a mirror. At six, they can also keep the family’s appointment book.
