A candle for the baby

In Mom’s arms, the baby is celebrating a first birthday, holding a plate with a little cake decorated with stars and a single lit candle. Mom, her hair pulled back in a ponytail, laughs along, and a pocket with a heart decorates her top.

The unicorn brings the balloons

The unicorn trots in wearing a pointed party hat, with a big bunch of balloons tied to its back: round ones, a star and a heart, tied with ribbons. Above, a garland of star-covered pennants stretches across the sky, another balloon floats on the left, and confetti falls everywhere. A present waits on the ground.

Three characters

Mom, the baby and the unicorn are big shapes, easy to color at four. The balloons are big round shapes, each to color in its own color. The confetti is tiny: color it with a quick stroke, or leave it white.

Party colors

The balloons take every bright color: red, yellow, blue, green, purple. The pennants on the garland can alternate two colors. The cake can be pink or chocolate, with a yellow and orange flame on its candle.

A word for the grown-up: for a little cousin’s or a friend’s birthday, let your child wrap the present: a box, a sheet of paper, some tape. The package won’t be perfect, but it’s their very own gift, and they’ll hand it over proudly.
