A ride on the unicorn
A mom with a ponytail, a bow in her hair and a backpack on her shoulders rides along on the unicorn. She holds her baby close, in a pom-pom hat and starry pajamas, and the baby rests a hand on the heart stitched on her sweater.
Across the meadow
The unicorn walks along, eyes closed with pleasure, flowers in its mane. Its saddle is decorated with flowers, hearts and stars. All around, flowers and bushes grow in the grass, two butterflies flutter, a few leaves fall and two clouds drift across the sky.
A page for six-year-olds
The characters overlap, and the mane and tail are made of fine strands: the page suits children from six. Start with the unicorn, then the mom and the baby, and finish with the meadow and the starry frame.
Colors for a ride
The unicorn can stay white, with a rainbow-colored mane. The mom’s sweater can take a bright color, her pants a denim blue. The baby’s pajamas are a soft color, pink, sky blue or pale yellow, with gold stars.
A word for the grown-up: in a flowery meadow, look with your child for a butterfly resting on a flower, and creep up very gently, with no sudden moves. At six, they can count its wings, four and not two, and watch for the moment the butterfly uncurls its proboscis to drink from the flower.
