Sitting in the snow
The little unicorn sits in the snow, a pom-pom hat pulled down between its ears and cozy leg warmers on its legs. It smiles as it watches the snowflakes fall.
A winter landscape
Snow-covered fir branches surround it, and from one of them hangs an ornament decorated with a star. In the snow, a sprig of holly carries three berries. Snowflakes and little dots of snow fall between the clouds.
A big shape in the middle
The unicorn is a big shape in the middle, easy to color at four. The hat and leg warmers are well-separated areas. The snowflakes are thin: they can stay white.
Winter colors
The hat can be red, blue or purple, with a white pom-pom. The fir branches take a dark green, the ornament red or gold. The snow stays white, with a little very pale blue in the hollows.
A word for the grown-up: when it snows, let a few flakes land on the dark sleeve of a coat and look at them up close with your child, with a magnifying glass if you have one. Every snowflake has six branches, and no two are quite alike.
