Wings spread wide
The mother unicorn flies with her legs tucked under her, her big wings spread above her back. She wears a flower crown, and her long curly tail floats behind her. She turns her head toward her little one and smiles.
The little one follows its mom
Beside her, the little one is flying too, with small wings and a bow in its mane. Together they glide among the clouds, hearts, stars and sparkles. The sky is all theirs.
Feather by feather
The bodies of the two unicorns are big shapes, easy to color at four. The wings are made of rows of feathers, which can be colored one by one or in a single sweep. The hearts and clouds are simple and closed.
A colorful sky
The wings can be white, gold or shaded, from the tips of the feathers to the base. The hearts take pink or red, the stars yellow, and the clouds stay white or pale blue. The little one’s bow and its mom’s flowers can match.
A word for the grown-up: play airplane. Lie on your back on a rug, knees bent, set your child tummy-down on your shins and hold their hands firmly. Slowly lift your legs: they are flying, like the little one beside its mom.
