Under the umbrella
Under a big umbrella, a mom in a hooded raincoat and rain boots is smiling. She carries her baby close in a baby sling, and the baby, wearing a hood with a star, is laughing too.
Splash in the puddle
The unicorn, for its part, leaps happily into a big puddle, and water splashes all around. The rain falls in big drops, and two rainbows resting on clouds are already showing in the sky. More puddles dot the path, between the grass and two flowers.
Big shapes
The mom, the umbrella and the unicorn are big shapes, easy to color at four. The raindrops are small: color them blue one by one, or leave them white. The puddles take a single stroke.
Rainy-day colors
The raincoat and boots can be yellow, like a fisherman’s, or red. The umbrella can have colored stripes. The puddles take a gray-blue, and the rainbows keep their colors in order, from red to violet.
A word for the grown-up: after a shower, pull on the rain boots and go jump in the puddles with your child, like the unicorn. Who makes the biggest splash? Bring dry socks for the way home: at four, water often gets in over the top of the boots.
