Daytime at the beach

The page is split into two pictures. On the left, the unicorn, wearing glasses, sits on the sand and laughs in the sunshine. Around it are a smiling sun, two clouds, an ice cream cone topped with a cherry, a palm tree, a sandcastle, a seashell, a starfish, a beach ball and the sea.

Nighttime under the fireworks

On the right, the same unicorn, without its glasses, sits in the grass, eyes closed with happiness. Above it, five bursts of fireworks explode in the sky, among the stars.

Two moments

Each picture is colored on its own: at four, your child can do the beach one day and the fireworks the next. The unicorn is a big shape in both pictures. The fireworks are made of thin lines: color them in quick strokes, from the center outward.

From sun to stars

On the left, bright colors: the yellow of the sun and sand, the blue of the sea. On the right, the sky can take a midnight blue or a purple, with red, green, gold and pink bursts. The unicorn keeps the same colors in both pictures.

A word for the grown-up: before a fireworks show, warn your child that the rockets make loud bangs, and show them how to cover their ears. For the little ones, noise-reducing earmuffs make the show much gentler. Standing a little away from the crowd, you see just as well.
