A bike ride
Glasses on its nose, the unicorn pedals along the beach on a little bike. It smiles, mane and tail in the wind.
A full basket
In the bike basket, there is a bunch of flowers and four ice cream cones, two of them topped with a cherry. Behind it, a sandcastle with its flag and a beach ball sit on the sand, near a palm tree. The sun shines, and two little clouds smile in the sky.
Big shapes
The unicorn and the bike are big shapes, easy to color at four. The wheel spokes get colored one by one, or stay white. The ice creams and the flowers in the basket are small: each one gets its own color.
Summer colors
The sea takes a bright blue, the sand a soft yellow. The bike can be red, pink or green, and the unicorn’s glasses a cheerful color. The ice creams can be strawberry, vanilla or chocolate.
A word for the grown-up: before a pedal bike, try a balance bike. Your child moves forward by pushing with their feet, and learns balance without fear of falling. At four, after a few months on a balance bike, the switch to a pedal bike often happens without training wheels.
