Rocking the baby
A girl in pajamas, her ponytail tied with a bow, holds the side of a crib and gently rocks it. On the other side, the little unicorn pushes the crib too. Little lines around the crib show that it is swaying.
The baby falls asleep
In the crib, a baby sleeps with a pacifier, a little cap with a star on its head, under a starry blanket. Above it hangs a mobile of moons and stars. A crescent moon sleeps in the sky, a curtain is tied back with a bow, and a little lamp is mounted on the wall.
A page for six-year-olds
The crib slats, the mobile and its strings, the stars on the blanket: this page has lots of fine spaces and suits children six and up. The girl and the unicorn are the biggest shapes, to color first.
A nursery
The girl’s pajamas can be pink or blue, the crib white or wood. The blanket takes a soft color, with yellow stars. The moons and stars of the mobile can alternate yellow and white.
A word for the grown-up: with a doll, show your child how to hold a newborn: sitting down, well supported, a cushion under the elbow, one hand under the head. If a baby arrives in the family or with friends, they will know how to hold it.
