A princess in the saddle

A little princess rides the unicorn as it gallops from cloud to cloud. She wears a crown with a star, a puff-sleeved dress and a cape that flies in the wind. She holds on to the mane with both hands, smiling, sitting on a saddle marked with a star.

Galloping across the sky

The unicorn has all four legs in the air, mid-leap, above little clouds. It smiles, a star in its mane. A few hearts and stars float around. The princess isn’t scared: with a unicorn, the sky becomes a playground.

Two characters, plenty of room

The unicorn is big, with simple, well-drawn shapes: at four, it is easy to color. The princess, smaller, has her ruffled dress, her cape and her crown to color separately. The clouds, many and round, are easy to fill.

A cape in the wind

The princess’s cape can take a bright color, red or purple, that stands out against a pink or blue dress. The crown gets colored golden yellow. The unicorn can keep a white coat and a pastel mane, and the saddle can be red or blue.

A word for the grown-up: lying in the grass, watch the clouds go by with your child and look for shapes in them: a dog, a boat, maybe a unicorn. Everyone says what they see, and nobody is wrong.
