Cheers!
A princess and the unicorn sit on cushions on either side of a little low table and raise their cups to clink them together. The princess wears a starry crown, two pigtails tied with bows, a cape and a dress with a heart. The unicorn smiles, delighted.
A party snack
On the table are a teapot decorated with a flower, a cup, a plate of cookies, two cherry cupcakes, a bowl of sugar cubes and a little vase of flowers. Above them hangs a string of pennants decorated with a star, a heart and a flower. Clouds, flowers, hearts and stars complete the party.
Well-separated shapes
The princess, the unicorn and the table are big shapes, easy to color at four. The dishes and treats are smaller, but well closed. The pennants each get colored a different color.
A colorful table
The teapot and cups can match, white with flowers or a pastel color. The cupcakes take pink, with a red cherry. The cushions can be two different colors, and the pennants can alternate three bright colors.
A word for the grown-up: hold a tea party for the stuffed animals. Your child serves each one, asking “Would you like some tea?”, and each stuffed animal answers in your voice, with “please” and “thank you.” Polite words are easier to learn through play.
