In front of the castle
A little unicorn stands in front of a castle, eyes closed and smiling broadly, as if proud to show it off. Its curly mane and tail ripple gently. A few flowers grow at its feet.
Two pointed towers
The castle has two round towers topped with pointed roofs, each with a star flag. Between them, a wall with battlements has a round window and a big arched door. A few stones are drawn on the walls, and birds fly in the sky.
Very clean shapes
The castle is made of big, straight, closed shapes: at four, it is good practice for coloring inside the lines. The unicorn is a simple shape. The windows and stones get colored separately, with the tip of the pencil.
A castle of every color
The walls can be stone gray, pink or lilac, and the roofs a bright color, blue or red. The flags take the color of the roofs, with a yellow star. The door is brown wood, and the windows a bright yellow.
A word for the grown-up: build a castle together out of blocks or building bricks, with two towers, a wall and a door wide enough for a little toy character to go through. Often the best part is when it all falls down and you start again.
