A princess unicorn
In front of a castle, a little unicorn poses proudly, a crown with fleurs-de-lis on its head. On its back, a cape covered in hearts and stars, trimmed with ruffles, is tied with a big bow under its neck. Stars and flowers dot its curly mane and its tail, which ends in a flower.
The castle and its drawbridge
Behind it, the castle has two towers with pointed roofs, each topped with a flag bearing a star and a heart, and a keep with battlements in the middle. The drawbridge is down in front of the big wooden door: come on in. Two butterflies flutter by, flowers grow in the grass, and trees surround the castle.
Details for the patient
At four, the unicorn in front is easy to color, with its big cape. The castle behind is more detailed: every stone, every roof tile, every window is a little space. You can color the walls with broad strokes, then come back for the details.
Royal colors
The cape can be red or purple, with pink hearts and golden stars. The crown gets colored gold. The castle takes a stone gray, its roofs blue or purple, and the flags bright colors.
A word for the grown-up: make a drawbridge out of a shoebox: a flap cut into the cardboard, with two strings tied to its edge and threaded through two holes above the door. By pulling the strings, your child raises and lowers the bridge all by themselves.
