In front of the castle
A little unicorn with a curly mane stands in front of a castle, looking pleased. The castle has three towers with pointed roofs, each topped with a flag, and strings of pennants link the towers together. Its big wooden door is closed.
A very simple castle
No complicated details: walls with battlements, narrow windows, an arched door made of planks. Around it are a few clouds, two flowers and a few stars. It is a castle just as children draw one, with its towers and flags.
Big areas
The castle walls are big white areas, perfect for trying out a color with broad strokes. The roofs, flags and pennants are smaller. The unicorn, at the bottom right, is a simple, clean shape, easy to color at four.
Castle colors
The pointed roofs can be red, the walls pale yellow or pink, the door brown like wood. The pennants on the strings alternate several colors. The flags with crosses on the two side towers can take two colors each.
A word for the grown-up: design your family’s flag with your child: one color per person and a picture in the middle, an animal or a star. Hung in their bedroom, it becomes the flag of their castle.
