Flying over the castle

A little winged unicorn flies over a castle, legs tucked in, looking delighted. Its big eyes shine and its cheeks are pink. Behind it, a trail of stars streams from its mane and tail, like fairy dust.

The castle with three towers

The castle has three towers with pointed roofs, each topped with a flag, and two more little flags fly on the middle rampart. Its arched door is decorated with a string of pennants, as if for a party. Four windows with crossbars, a few bricks, and bushes all around, on a little hill.

Geometric shapes

The castle is made of simple shapes: rectangles for the walls, triangles for the roofs, squares for the battlements. At four, it is a good chance to name them while coloring. The unicorn above is a big round shape, easy to fill.

A fairy-tale castle

The pointed roofs can be blue or purple, the walls pink or light gray, as in a fairy tale. The flags take bright colors, and the string of pennants over the door alternates several. The stars in the trail get colored golden yellow.

A word for the grown-up: build a castle together out of a cardboard box, with toilet paper rolls for the towers, topped with paper cones. Your child can then paint it and plant flags made from toothpicks.
