Sitting in the grass
In the middle of a flowery meadow, a little unicorn sits in the grass, legs out in front. It smiles a big open smile, with rosy cheeks, and its curly mane frames its face. Behind it, a rainbow rises into the sky.
Three little friends
Its spring friends have settled all around: on the left, a bunny sitting up and a chick; on the right, a curly lamb lying among the flowers. Five big butterflies flutter around the unicorn, and flowering branches reach in from both sides of the page.
Big round shapes
The unicorn is a big round shape in the middle of the page, easy to color at four. The butterflies have big wings with circles inside: color the wings one color and the circles another. The little flowers in the meadow get colored with the tip of the pencil.
A meadow full of color
Each butterfly can have its own color: yellow, orange, blue, purple or pink. The bunny is gray or light brown, the chick yellow, the lamb white. The rainbow keeps its colors in order, from red to violet, and the unicorn takes your child’s favorite color.
A word for the grown-up: make the sounds of the animals in the picture. The lamb bleats, the chick peeps. And the bunny? It hardly makes a sound: it wiggles its nose. Your child imitates each one, then it’s your turn to guess which animal they’re doing.
