Out for a ride

A little princess sits on her unicorn’s back, arms wrapped around its mane, laughing with joy. She wears a crown with a star on it, a bow in her long curls and a puff-sleeved dress, with a heart and a flower on the bodice and stars on the skirt.

A shower of stars

The unicorn walks along calmly and smiles. All around them, a shower of stars and sparkles twinkles, with a few hearts, two flowers and two little dotted clouds. The picture looks like something out of a dream.

A big shape and lots of sparkles

The unicorn is a big shape, easy to color at four, and so is the princess’s dress. Her curls take a little more care. The stars around the scene are very many: you can color a few and leave the rest white.

A fairy tale in color

The dress can be pink or sky blue, with gold stars. The crown takes yellow, like gold. The unicorn can stay white, with a mane and tail of every color, and the stars around can alternate yellow and pink.

A word for the grown-up: make up a story together, taking turns. Start with “Once upon a time, there was a princess and her unicorn…”, your child adds a sentence, then you add another, and so on. At four, the plot twists are often the funniest part.
