Apple picking
Wearing a knitted turtleneck sweater, the little unicorn stands under an apple tree and reaches up to pick a fine apple. It is smiling, its mane blowing in the wind.
An autumn orchard
The tree still holds several apples, and its leaves are starting to fall. At its foot, a basket overflows with apples already picked. Three pumpkins, an acorn and fallen leaves are scattered on the grass, under two little clouds.
Big shapes
The unicorn, the trunk and the basket are big shapes, easy to color at four. The apples are nice and round: color them one by one, staying inside the lines. Color the small falling leaves with the tip of the pencil.
Apple red and pumpkin orange
The apples can be red, green or yellow, or a little of all three. The pumpkins take their orange, the basket a wicker brown. The unicorn’s sweater can be a warm color: red, orange or brown.
A word for the grown-up: cut an apple in half across its middle, not from the stem down: in the center, the seeds form a star. Your child can then dip the apple half in paint and press it onto a sheet of paper, like a stamp.
