A stop at the fountain
In a corner of the forest, the little unicorn has stopped for a drink. It leans over the edge of an old stone fountain, where a trickle of water runs from a little spout. Above, water gushes from a pillar of mossy stones and pours into the round basin. On a branch, a bird watches it.
The calm of the woods
Around the fountain, the forest is quiet: tall trees, bushes, ferns, a few mushrooms and fallen leaves. Moss grows between the stones, a sign the fountain has been there a long time. The unicorn, its mane dotted with stars, takes its time quenching its thirst.
Stones to color
The fountain is made of big stones, each one clearly outlined: you can color them one by one, varying the grays slightly. The unicorn on the left is a simple, round shape, easy to color at four. The falling water forms a long band in the middle of the page.
Gray, green and blue
The stones take grays and beiges, the moss a bright green, the water a light blue with a few white highlights. The forest around gets colored in varied greens. Among these calm colors, the unicorn stands out if you give it a soft pink or purple.
A word for the grown-up: remind your child to drink water after playing, like the unicorn after its walk. A water bottle with their name on it, which they fill themselves, helps them remember.
