A hug between friends
A curly-haired boy in a hoodie with a star on it and a girl with a ponytail tied with a bow, a heart on her sweater, share a big hug, eyes closed. Beside them, the little unicorn holds a lit candle and smiles.
Under the moon
Above them, a crescent moon is sleeping, surrounded by stars and three clouds. A feather floats gently through the air on the left. A few flowers and sprigs of leaves grow in the grass.
Simple shapes
The two children and the unicorn are big shapes, easy to color at four. The moon is a big curved area. The stars are many and small: color them in a single stroke, or leave them white.
Evening light
The candle flame takes yellow and orange, the moon a pale yellow. The sky can turn midnight blue around the stars. The children’s clothes keep bright colors, and the unicorn’s mane gold stars.
A word for the grown-up: play the floating feather game: toss a little feather in the air, and your child blows underneath it to keep it from falling. Who can keep it up the longest? Blowing long and gently also helps calm down.
