A little donkey to care for

A little donkey has sat down on the ground, looking a bit tired. It wears a scarf around its neck and a bandage on its cheek. A lady in an apron, her hair up in a bun, is taking care of its ears: she has already wrapped bandages around them, and is putting on another one with a smile.

The unicorn helps

On the right, the unicorn comes over with a jar marked with a star, taken from the first-aid kit. On the ground around the donkey are a bottle, a water bottle and a box holding a roll of gauze, a bandage and a little sprig of herbs. Everyone is looking after the little donkey, who is already smiling a little.

Three characters

The lady on the left, the donkey in the middle and the unicorn on the right fill the whole width of the page. At four, these are big shapes, easy to color. The bottles and the box at the bottom are smaller, with their star labels.

Gentle colors

The donkey gets colored gray, with a lighter muzzle, like a real donkey. Its scarf can be red or striped. The lady wears a white apron over a colorful dress, and the unicorn keeps golden stars in its mane.

A word for the grown-up: play doctor with stuffed animals: a shoebox for a kit, some bandages, a roll of gauze, and your child does the caring. This game makes the next visit to the doctor feel more familiar.
