Teatime

The unicorn and the ladybug are having tea, each sitting on a cushion, around a low round table. The unicorn wears a bow tie, and the big-eyed ladybug smiles at it, its two antennae standing up.

A well-set table

On the table, there is a teapot, two cups decorated with a star and a plate of star cookies. All around, the garden is in bloom: daisies, a tulip, a butterfly, and a few leaves falling from the branches.

Big shapes

The unicorn, the ladybug and the table are big shapes, easy to color at four. The cups and the teapot are simple and clearly drawn. The ladybug’s spots get colored one by one.

Pretty dishes

The ladybug takes its bright red, with black spots. The teapot and cups can be white with golden stars, or a soft color. The unicorn’s bow tie can be red or blue, and the two cushions different colors.

A word for the grown-up: make a mint infusion together for snack time. Your child crumples a few fresh leaves and smells them, then you drop them into the hot water. Wait until it’s lukewarm, and everyone pours their own cup, like the unicorn and the ladybug.
