Under the rainbow

A little unicorn sits in the grass, under a big rainbow linking two clouds. Its mane is curly, its cheeks pink, and it smiles. Its tail is covered in polka dots, like a ribbon. Beside it stands a little ladybug.

A ladybug queen

This ladybug isn’t quite like the others: it wears a little crown set with a jewel, and its wide-open wings, round and dotted with spots, look like a butterfly’s. It smiles proudly. Hearts and stars float around the two friends, and little flowers grow in the grass.

A big unicorn, a little ladybug

The unicorn fills the middle of the page: one big simple shape, easy to color at four. The ladybug, at the bottom right, is smaller, with its spotted wings. The bands of the rainbow are narrow: they take a little care.

Dots everywhere

The dots on the tail can take several colors, or just one on a light background. The ladybug keeps its red, with a golden-yellow crown and wings in whatever color you like. The rainbow brings the bright colors to the top of the page.

A word for the grown-up: before coloring, count the dots on the unicorn’s tail together, then the ones on the ladybug’s wings. Who has more? At four, comparing two amounts is a real little math game.
