A unicorn above the world
A winged unicorn flies above a little round world, wings spread and tail streaming. It smiles as it soars over it. Below, the four seasons follow one another, as if going all the way around the year.
Around the year
At the top left is spring: flowery meadows, tulips, butterflies and bees. At the top right is summer: a beach with a sandcastle, a palm tree, a crab, a starfish and a seashell, under the sun. At the bottom right is fall: trees losing their leaves, a squirrel, mushrooms, acorns and pine cones. At the bottom left is winter: snowy mountains, fir trees, snowflakes and a snowman in a knit hat.
One season at a time
The unicorn in the middle is a big shape, easy to color at four. Around it, each season has lots of little things: you can color one a day, and finish the trip around the year in four days.
Four moods in color
Each season can have its own colors: soft green and pink for spring, yellow and blue for summer, orange and brown for fall, white and pale blue for winter. The unicorn can take a little of each.
A word for the grown-up: set out a few clothes, a knit hat, a swimsuit, a raincoat, sandals, a scarf, and ask your child to sort them by season. They learn through play what each piece of clothing is for, and when you wear it.
