A hungry kitten

A kitten sits in front of a big round cake with a crisscross top and puts its paw on it, looking very pleased with itself. A piece is already missing: you can see the soft inside of the cake. The kitten smiles, its tail curled up behind it.

Crumbs everywhere

Facing it, a little unicorn with freckles, stars in its mane and on its horn, watches with a smile. On the ground, crumbs are scattered all around the cake. There is no other scenery: just the two friends and the cake.

Big simple shapes

The kitten, the unicorn and the cake are big shapes, easy to color at four. The crumbs are small and many: you can color them in a single stroke, the same brown as the cake. The stars in the mane get colored one by one.

A golden cake

The cake takes a golden brown, like a nicely baked crust, and its inside a pale yellow. The kitten can be orange, gray or striped. The unicorn keeps a white coat, with yellow stars in its mane.

A word for the grown-up: after snack time, give your child a little brush and dustpan to sweep up the crumbs themselves, under the table and around their chair. At four, cleaning up after yourself quickly becomes a game, especially with a tool your own size.
