A quick comb

A girl with two braids tied with bows carefully combs the unicorn’s mane. She wears a dress with a Peter Pan collar, dotted with little flowers, and an apron with flowers embroidered along the hem. The unicorn lets her, smiling.

A flowery mane

The unicorn’s mane is swept up in a bun and dotted with flowers, with a crown of flowers around its horn. Next to them, on a dressing table, stand an oval mirror framed with flowers, a pot of flowers, a comb and a ribbon. Garlands of flowers hang in the top corners, and two butterflies flutter by.

A big unicorn

The unicorn and the girl are big shapes, easy to color at four. The flowers in the mane and around the mirror are many and small: color them one by one, or pick a single color for all of them.

Flowers everywhere

The flowers can be pink, yellow and white, with green leaves. The girl’s dress can be blue, and her apron white. The dressing table takes a wood color or a soft white, and the mirror a pale blue shine.

A word for the grown-up: in front of a mirror, play the feelings-faces game: together, make a happy face, a sad face, a surprised face, an angry face, then a scared one. Your child learns to recognize what they feel, and to read it on other people’s faces.
