On top of the rainbow

Wings spread, a unicorn gallops along the very top of a rainbow, as if crossing a bridge. The arc links two big fluffy clouds. Its mane and tail stream out behind it, its cheeks are pink, and it smiles. Little stars and dots are scattered over the bands.

A shower of stars

Above it, the sky is filled with stars, little dots and a few hearts, like a shower of light. The unicorn runs without any fear, way up high: on a rainbow, anything is possible.

The arc, full size

The rainbow crosses the page from one cloud to the other: its wide, even bands are easy to color at four. The unicorn in the middle is a simple shape. The many little stars in the sky take more care: you can save them for last.

The order of the colors

For a true-to-life rainbow, follow the order of a real one: red on the outside, then orange, yellow, green and blue. The clouds stay white, with light gray shadows. Among the bright colors of the arc, the unicorn stands out best in white or pale pink.

A word for the grown-up: go on a color hunt around the house together: something red, then something orange, yellow, green and blue, lined up on the rug in rainbow order. Your child builds one out of their own toys.
