The hedgehog with real leaves
Go out and collect leaves, color the hedgehog, then glue the leaves onto its back: they become its spines. A walk and a craft, with no scissors.

Step by step
Ages 4+30 minutes, plus the walk
Supplies
- The sheet, printed on thick paper if possible
- Real autumn leaves, nice and dry
- Colored pencils
- A glue stick
Steps
- Collect leaves outside: red, orange and yellow ones, big and small.
- Color the hedgehog, the sky, the grass and the little snail, leaving its back empty.
- Spread glue on the hedgehog’s back, a little at a time.
- Place the leaves one by one, from the edge of the back toward the middle, overlapping them.
- Press gently with a finger, then let it dry flat: the hedgehog is ready to hang up!
Dry leaves stick better: you can leave them flat under a big book overnight.
