Autumn craft
The cut-and-glue mushroom
A round little mushroom in separate pieces. Color them, cut them out, then build it back in its autumn woodland, from the stem to the smile.
The two sheets to print
The mushroom’s pieces, then the autumn scene with a dotted mushroom that shows where each piece goes.
Step by step
Ages 4+30 minutes
Supplies
- The two sheets, printed at actual size
- Colored pencils or markers
- Round-tipped scissors
- A glue stick
Steps
- Color the mushroom’s pieces, then the scene: the tree, the sun, the fir trees and the snail.
- Cut out each piece along its line. The smallest ones, the spots, the eyes and the mouth, need a little help.
- Lay the pieces on the dotted mushroom, without glue, to find where each one goes.
- Glue them in this order: the stem, the cap, the five spots, the eyes, and the mouth last.
- The mushroom smiles in its woodland: it is ready for autumn!
Print both sheets without scaling: the pieces then fit the dotted lines just right.
