Autumn craft
The apple and its little worm
Color the apple, cut out the pieces, then pull the tab: peekaboo, the little worm comes out of its hole! Push it back and it hides. Then do it again.
The sheet to print
The apple and its round hole, the pull tab with the little worm, and the strip that holds it.
Step by step
Ages 4+30 minutes
Supplies
- The sheet, printed on thick paper if possible
- Colored pencils
- Round-tipped scissors
- A glue stick
Steps
- Color the apple, its leaf, its stem and the little worm. Color the circle on the pull tab dark brown.
- Cut out the apple, the pull tab and the strip. An adult cuts out the round hole in the apple.
- Turn the apple over. Put glue on both ends of the strip, not in the middle, and stick it upright, right next to the hole.
- Slide the pull tab under the strip, with the little worm facing the apple and the arrow first, until the arrow comes out at the side of the apple.
- Turn the apple back over and pull the arrow: peekaboo, the little worm comes out of its hole! Push it back and it hides.
On thick paper, the pull tab slides better and the apple stays nice and straight.
